AQUARIUS

January 21- Feb 18

“I INNOVATE”

 A fixed air sign

 Ruling planet: Uranus

Symbol: The water bearer

Colors: electric blue and turquoise

Gemstone: aquamarine

Identified with ankles, calves & blood circulation

Keywords: Friendly, honest, original and independent

Positive and optimistic, even when facing challenges, the Aquarian personality rarely loses hope; their natural humanity always reminds them that others may be less fortunate than themselves. They are often referred to as the sign of the genius since they are capable of bringing thunderbolts of sudden inspiration and understanding to the rest of us. Friendship is something that Aquarius cares about deeply and does not take lightly. Their inborn kindheartedness is linked to a genuine desire to be helpful; they are the humanitarians of the zodiac. The Aquarius need for independence cannot be underestimated even while on the job they prefer to have free reign to do whatever is expected of them in their own way, uninhibited by advice or the insistence on a specific procedure. They are known to find solutions to complex situations in an unorthodox and creative fashion. Aquarians like the glamour of romance however they find it hard to settle into a close emotional relationship. Once committed the “water bearer” tends to be very loyal. Although unpredictable and stubborn at times they are very lovable.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20-Feb 18)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AQUARIUS! Home may be where your heart is during the first few months of your personal new year. It is an ideal time to make improvements or move to a larger more comfortable residence. The buying or selling of property and/or otherwise cashing in on a real estate transaction should go well. Negotiations look encouraging if refinancing an existing mortgage is on the agenda. Other forms of speculation, affairs of the heart and the needs of children are spotlighted for the remainder of your annual birthday cycle. Family relationships should blossom as well. In terms of your career, it is likely you will gain more responsibility; if you are ambitious for leadership this can be a period of great accomplishment. Walk through with confidence if a door of opportunity opens which allows you to make an impression upon the world as an individual. The February 7 full moon cycle places a strong emotional emphasis on business and/or personal partnerships. Compromise and consideration tend to be the keywords that smooth over rough waters. Money matters are accented as February progresses.

Neptune at Home in Pisces

A time to focus on the goodness of mankind

By Vivienne Moran   M.A.F.A.

Neptune begins its memorable journey through Pisces on February 3, 2012. It will bring its contributions to us until March 30, 2025. As with other planets, it will take on the quality of the sign of the zodiac that it is visiting. Pisces is known to be a peaceful, sensitive, gentle and empathetic sign.

Neptune’s joy is in giving, helping, healing and acting kindly. Its influence reaches into the heart and soul of individuals and can generate an immeasurable wave of compassion. It is noted as the higher octave of Venus, which astrologically speaking is known to escalate feelings of love, encourages harmonious conditions and instigates a strong appreciation for beauty. Neptune takes these traits to a higher and deeper level; it seeks unconditional and universal love, prefers to ensure harmony by taking flight rather than fight and instills creative energy that comes from the heart as well as the mind. Neptune will help us to acknowledge and appreciate the magic within our psyche. It will be easy and, at times, enjoyable to be carried off into a place of idealistic wonder. A variety of brain functions will be elevated; imagination, intuition, memory, instinct and inspiration are among the most notable ones. These attributes will be accompanied by a greater amount of enthusiasm and optimism.

We may experience an artistic revival. This period can inspire those individuals with a rich imagination to reach creative heights as it did for Michelangelo, a Pisces, when he was painting the Sistine Chapel in Rome in 1505.

This can be an amazing opportunity for spiritual growth that can enrich our lives in many ways, physically, mentally and emotionally. Creative visualization and meditation may become a common everyday practice for many.

The influence of this celestial body could help us to make a special effort to be our “brother’s keeper,” to extend a helping hand when and where needed. Other planets interacting with Neptune’s energy may support the exploration and expansion needed to bring about the potential that comes with this planet/sign combination. Bringing an awareness of the compassion and universal love necessary in order to ease the tension in our troubled world appears to be the gift of the Neptune in Pisces transit. It could and should ignite the hope of better days to come.
