The lion is a well suited symbol for Leo. They protect and cherish their kingdom, from work to home to a partner, whatever it is, they rule it. Always center stage and full of flair, they enjoy basking in the spotlight.
Very independent, Leo likes to have control and someone to admire and appreciate them. They are fully capable of being greatly successful on their own but they are much happier if they have an audience and a following of people who look up to them. They would prefer not be alone.
People are attracted to Leo's zest for life and their warm spirit, wit, charm, and the grand and very interesting things they have to say. They are usually fairly balanced, realistic people. Their public image is very important to them and they will do whatever it takes to protect their own reputation.
Leo wants only the best. This can lead to lavish, excessive, spending habits as they enjoy a life of luxury, all too easily justified by the grand and magnificent Leo!  They are very generous, kind and openhearted people. If crossed, Leo will strike back with force. Typically they are not known to hold a grudge; they easily forgive, forget and move on. Extremely sensitive, Leos hide that fact very well. They are always trying to make things right in the world. Having larger then life emotions, they need to feel like they have accomplished something at the end of the day. Instead of sitting back and thinking about it, they react to situations with action. In most cases they are not impulsive; they look at the future and consider the consequences of their actions.
