New SLO Democratic Central Committee Bring Change
Thomas Gong, Assistant County Clerk Recorder, swore in the newly elected members of the San Luis Obispo County Democratic Central Committee (DCC), at the group’s first regular monthly meeting of the new term, on Wednesday, July 14th. Per the June 2010 election results, a significant number of names have changed on the membership roster.
The mission of the Democratic Central Committee is to support and elect Democratic candidates and to promote Democratic values and principles in San Luis Obispo County. Chairperson Harris says that she expects a renewed spirit of cooperation in order to accomplish this mission. “We have a number of new members who bring new energy and commitment and we will build on the strong base that our previous members have created.” Harris also said that she is counting on former volunteers and others previously involved with the DCC in returning with new enthusiasm to participate in the State campaigns for US Senate and Governor.
The SLODCC Headquarters is located at 1406 Broad Street in San Luis Obispo. For more information on the DCC and volunteer opportunities, the phone number is 546-8499 Appearing in photo left to right back
