Corset Tops and Peacock Coats
| 05 March 2009
Springtime! Rain turns the barren hillsides green. Stores change their window displays. Fashion is in bloom. This year’s couture garden features a pastel-tinted spectrum of soft pinks, lavenders, mint and sage accented by batik and tribal designed scarves and shawls.
For the gypsy and the rock star in every woman, fluffy skirts are in as well as corset tops and peacock coats, beaded velvet dusters and silks that flow in the breeze. Add a few camo and animal prints and ground it all with ever-stylish black.
The East Indian and Asian textile influences are just taking off. Embellished fabrics with sequins are still the rage. Layers, fringe, Goth, ruffles, long dresses and tunics are also fun looks to add into the mix.
So have fun shopping and make sure to update your wardrobe with these new and fun colors or even add in a new makeover to reflect your ever evolving and loving new self.
