Publisher's Note

Many thanks to all the people that have supported Information Press in your own special way.  From writers to readers and all the people in between my deep appreciation to all of you.  So many lessons learned, and an unbelievable amount of opportunities received. The many faces I’ve looked into, the voices on the phone… hundreds of people have contributed to my life in so many wonderful ways.  Even the pains in the neck have given me reason to be thankful.
Like graduating from school my eyes are set on new horizons.
The website is beginning to take hold and more staff members are coming on board.  We’ve increased our distribution and considering a major move back into the Santa Barbara area. This is where I started the paper, where I lived for four years and most of my major transformation took place.
From what I’ve been told I’m in for some huge changes again.  It seems my astrological chart has some interesting things to say about how I may look at things in the days, weeks and months to come.  Change is good. How boring it would be to have everything remain the same.
I have to say that the last few years have come and gone quite quickly.  I wouldn’t mind a little bit of a slow down.  And I’d definitely like to created the income to hire and train people to do my job because I want to retire by the end of the year.
To me retiring doesn’t mean sitting around, it provides me with more time to work for positive change and improving my own life.
As the economy moves upward I urge you all to support our advertisers.  Make an effort to support those that are supporting you.
One fun thing I invite you to join me in is playing in clay at Anam Cre. Join me on August 14 when I make my first pottery bowl.  Shevon is providing a quick way for those like me that keep saying I want to try it but haven’t.  I’ve put it off for years. I’m committed I hope to see you there. Check out page 25 for a total explanation.
There are many wonderful things to do.  I’ll be helping to coordinate a meeting of Progressive Democrats from all over the state. If you think progressive, join us. You can make change from the inside out.
Continue to enjoy the summer and the beautiful place in which we live.
Wishing you well.  I’ll see you on the street or meet up with you again at the other end of August.
