Eaarth

Interfaith alliance promotes peace and justice for all
A special appearance of Bill McKibben, one of the world's foremost environmental activists and leading authority on the crisis posed by climate change, will be hosted by Central Coast Clergy and Laity for Justice (CCCLJ ) on Sunday, Oct. 30 at the Fremont Theater. The theme of McKibben’s talk will be "Brave New Planet: the Fight for a Livable Climate."
In preparation for his visit, ticket holders are encouraged to read "Eaarth, Making a Life on a Tough New Planet." McKibben's premise is that our planet has already been changed by human actions and that the challenge before us is to adjust to this new "eaarth" (symbolized by the extra "a") and to learn how to minimize further damage to living beings and the environment.
Seating is limited and advanced, pre-paid tickets can be ordered by mailing a check to CCCLJ, 1311 Glenbrook Way, Arroyo Grande 93420. Tickets are $12.00 for Adults; $10.00 for Students with ID. Please include your mailing address, phone number, email address and the number of tickets you are paying for with your check. Make checks payable to "CCCLJ".
The Fremont Theater is located at 1025 Monterey Street, San Luis Obispo. Doors open at 6:30 pm; McKibben will speak at 7:00 pm.
